NDIS Plan ASSESSMENTS

Get the best from your scheduled plan assessment

The plan assessment process helps ensure that you’re still aligned with your short and long term goals and to check if you have the reasonable and necessary funds to support those goals.

Often situations and goals can change, which means that your plan and your funding requirements will also change.

We can help you navigate and submit a variety of different Plan Assessments from Change of Situation (COS) to Review of Reviewable Decision (RORD).

The NDIS Plan Re-assessment process can be very overwhelming and time consuming. Our mission is to make a complex process easy and stress free for our clients.

How we can help

Change of Situation Assessment

If the participants situation changes throughout the plan, you can request a Change of Situation Assessment (COS) either 90 days after the plan has started or 3 months before the plan is due to expire.

You must let the NDIA know as soon as is practically possible after you become aware that a change of situation has happened or is likely to happen. This may include any significant changes to your disability support needs, information support arrangements, compensation status and living arrangements.

We can help prepare the Change of Situation Form for submission to the NDIA.

Review of Reviewable Decision (RORD)

We create an assessment document that incorporates aspects of the participants life that assist NDIS to assess your plan. We campaign together, to present to the NDIS the needs that are required for the participant to live their best possible life.

We believe in developing mutual relationships, ensuring your goals are supported sufficiently. Working in partnership with you to achieve greater outcomes.

FAQ’S

+ What do you do?

We assist people with gaining access to the NDIS and ensuring you receive adequate funding through Access Requests, Pre-Planning Documents and Plan assessment documents.

+ How do you do it?

Firstly, we need a copy of the current plan and any reports you intend on submitting. We then work through the information together to come up with your own individual documents.

+ What do you need from me in order to start the process?

To start the process we require a signed Serviced Agreement. This outlines the agreement between us. Recent reports from your allied health therapists are the most helpful. If your reports are older than 3 months, then we recommend you ask your providers to update the reports.

+ What does the process look like?

We start off with a telephone consultation so we can get to know each other, and we can explain the process and answer any questions you may have. If you choose to engage Inspires & Co you are required to sign a Service Agreement inline with NDIS guidelines. This will allow us to commence the process of assessing your plan.

For Review of Reviewable Decisions (RORD), you have 90 days from the start date of the plan that is being assessed to submit a ‘Review of a Reviewable Decision’.

After that we ask that you complete our questionnaire. This will give us most of the information that we need to start preparing your report.

After reviewing the information provided, we will work with you to complete a review document for you to submit to the NDIS.

The Inspires & Co process can take anywhere from two weeks to 2 months depending on how quickly the information is delivered to us.

Once the RORD document is submitted online to the NDIS the assessment process can take up to three months depending on the NDIS processing times.

+ How much does it cost?

The cost of this service depends on the complexities of the participant and the NDIS Plan.

+ How do you get paid?

A price is agreed at the start of the process, if you decide you want us to help you. Our services can be paid for out of the current NDIS plan

+ How long does it take?

It is very dependent on how quickly we receive the information. Anywhere from two weeks to 2 months. You have three months from the date of the plan that is being reviewed to submit a ‘Review of a Reviewable Decision’.

+ Do I need an existing plan for you to help me?

No – we can assist with Access Requests and Pre-Planning Meetings too.

+ How long does an assessment take?

Usually up to a week but some plans are being assessed more quickly. This is totally dependent on the NDIA. Sometimes there can be a wait of up to 3 months before your application for review will be considered by the NDIA.

+ What types of disabilities do you cover?

All types of disabilities for both children and adults.

+ What types of services do you offer?

NDIS Access Requests forms and preparation, Pre-Planning Documents and NDIS Review Documents if you’re not happy with your plan. We also assist with understanding your plan once the review has been completed and can help you find the right supports in your area.

+ Do you manage the plans once they are finalised?

That is up to you. We offer ongoing Support Coordination if you choose to engage Inspires & Co to implement the new plan. We are not plan managers (people who pay your invoices).

+ How does the document get submitted?

Everything is submitted online and via email.

+ Why do you do this?

We have decided to help people on their NDIS journey as we too have had to navigate the NDIS pathway which at times has been confusing, emotional and sometimes more detrimental to people’s lives. We offer an easy experience; We will hold your hand the entire journey, so you don’t have to go through what we went though. Our aim is to change people’s lives for the better.
